Maj. and Mrs. Kelso

Okay, as I read this title I realize you may be thinking that this is some really big and unexpected news. Well, it's probably not what many of you are thinking right now, but really great nonetheless. Yesterday Bill pinned on Major! I know, it sounds old doesn't it? I assure you, we ARE NOT old. We are just as youthful as we were when he took his commissioning oath 9 1/2 years ago. Nevermind those cute kids and the not quite as cute life lines and gray hair. Fortunately men look distinguished when they are gray and women have really great stylists.

We had the honor of being part of Bill's pinning on ceremony, where the kids got to rip off Bill's Captain rank to expose his Major rank on the shoulders of his flight suit and I changed out the rank on his cover. The kids probably thought the best part was when they got to give their daddy a good ol' "Atta Boy!" punch on his patches. My favorite part is the increase in his paycheck, which will coincidentally show up about the same time as the credit card statement. Or maybe the shopping trip to Songtan.

We are having a great time here in Korea as a family, but I will have to tell you about that later. The kids are starting to stir and I really want to take a shower in peace before having to get them up and get us all ready for our big trip to Lotte Mart and a playdate with friends.
