Meeting Santa

Well, to say that Ryan wasn't impressed with Santa is a major understatement. Besides being incredibly overtired (a 45 minute nap down to Charleston and an hour past his bedtime), he is starting to be wary of us leaving him. As the parent of a second child, I handed him over anyway and laughed at his reaction while filming. It didn't last long though, because I felt too bad and rescued him from the jolly old soul. I then proceeded to take some video of Kaitlyn, who was very excited it was FINALLY her turn, telling Santa what she wanted for Christmas, only I couldn't hear over the crying her brother was doing in my arms because I was in the vicinity of the jolly man he will (hopefully) love next year. As you can imagine, all of the parents around us were laughing, most likely remmebering their child the previous year, and I could hardly see for the tears of laughter filling my eyes. Kaity never had this response to Santa as a baby, so I am glad I was able to capture Ryan's reaction. It will make a great story in years to come. The look on his face is priceless.
