I made a big breakfast for the family and while I was cleaning up, Bill took the kids out back to play and I swear it was in the low sixties. I am not sure if fall is actually here or if this is a huge tease, but we opened up the house and redressed the kids for the day.
After we cleaned up from breakfast, we all went for a bike ride. This is one of our new favorite family past times since we picked up a bike trailer at a neighborhood yard sale in May and bought bikes for our birthdays this summer with birthday money from my grandparents. I finally got around to taking pictures of us enjoying our bikes. As long as Kaity has her hair pulled all the way up, the kids get along very well in the trailer. If not, Ryan loves to pull Kaity's hair and there is tons of screaming back there. Kaity puts her arm around Ryan while they ride and when I ask her to check on him and tell me what he's doing she says, "he's just chillin'."
Yup, that's my crew in long sleeves and pants. Crazy huh? After taking a spin around the neighborhood, Bill and I actually had to swing back by the house and get sweatshirts. The sun is peeking in and out of the clouds and we think it is going to be a beautiful Saturday, and with only two days left, we are thrilled to all be home to share it.
